Welcome to DeMatha School

Inspired by the redemptive charism of St. John de Matha, the Trinitarians embarked on a missionary journey in 2008 under the Archdiocese of Guwahati in Assam. Committed to upholding the freedom of all, especially the disadvantaged, we have rooted our mission in the Gospel, dedicating ourselves to acts of mercy and redemption.

In response to the pressing need for education in Assam, particularly in rural areas where over 90% of the population resides, we established DeMatha English Medium School in 2019. With a local literacy rate of 72%, we recognized the urgency of providing quality, accessible education to empower children and uplift communities.

At DeMatha School, our motto, "Educate to Liberate," encapsulates our vision. We aim to liberate children from the constraints of distance and unsafe transportation, offering them a sanctuary of learning close to home. By nurturing their intellect, character, and spirituality, we equip them to navigate life's challenges and contribute meaningfully to society.

Our holistic approach to education fosters integral formation, nurturing students intellectually, psychologically, and spiritually. Through a blend of academic excellence, moral guidance, and community engagement, we strive to mold mature citizens who will lead Assam towards its desired destiny.
